Been a while since I posted, and a lot of tournaments have happened since, with different results. So what has been going on? I just wasn't getting the consistancy that I had become used to, and really wanted to work out what was the cause, so went right back to basics.
Equipment set-up:
Tiller was totally out, should have been shooting +3mm, but found that it was in fact -3mm, so that was corrected.
Nocking point was 2mm too high, so corected this to 4mm to bottom of the nock.
Grip moved over the the jaeger grip, and worked on strong hand alignment.
Tuning 2/3rds of the way there. Moved up to the 670 ACEs from the 720 ACEs, increased the point weight, and wound the limbs in 1/2 a turn, and increased the bracing height to 235mm from 227mm
Human set-up:
Grip lighter and more positive
String Fingers deeper grip, again stronger and more positive throughout the shot
Head Position keep head upright, and not leaning into the shot
Bow arm maintain strength, keep at 90 degrees to body, even when pivoting for longer distances
Anchor keep positive on the jaw line, and start counting from that point
Timing 1 - steady shot, 2 - focus in on the gold, 3 - expand through the clicker, 4 - if it ain't away COME BACK DOWN
After a few dismal results practice last night just confirmed that if the above is done it all goes right. At 70m I only had 6 arrows out of the gold\red all night. Lots of ends scoring 50+, now if I could just have a few 6 gold ends...
